**A cold, drizzly day at Mountaineer Field. The weather has made for a much smaller than normal Homecoming crowd. Many former Mountaineer quarterbacks having a reunion this weekend. The quarterbacks served as honorary captains and were on the field for the coin toss.
**WVU kick coverage very porous on the first two kicks. Two excellent returns by the Falcons.
**This Bowling Green team scored quickly to take a 7-3 lead. West Virginia has better personnel than the young Falcons and should win the game. But, they will not out-coach Bowling Green head coach Dave Clawson. He did a great job when he was at Fordham. He then built a FCS national title team that he did not get to coach to a title at Richmond. He will do a great job at BG and will be in a BCS job soon. RIght now Clawson's offense has the Mountaineer defense on its heels.
**Bowling Green has some coaching tradtition. Former WVU head coach Don Nehlen is a former Bowling Green player and head coach. He had wins over Purdue and Syracuse while coaching at BG. Current WVU football radio analyst and assistant coach, Dwight Wallace, is also a former BG quarterback. Former Florida head coach Urban Meyer and current Miss. State head coach Dan Mullen coached together at Bowling Green.
**Freshman running back Dustin Garrison gets the start for WVU today. He looked quick through the hole against the smaller Falcons on the first drive, but Mountaineers still had to settle for a field goal.
**14 yard punt from Corey Smith. It looked as if a frustrated Dana Holgorsen just told the back-up to get ready.
**Garrison running setting up a pass....and there it is....a 33 yard touchdown pass from Geno Smith to Ivan McCartney. The running game sets up the play action beautifully to tie the game.
**After struggling on the first two drives defensively, time to see if the WU defense settles down. Secondary has closed quickly on a couple of floating BG passes.
**Sitting with MSN Basketball analyst Jay Jacobs in the press box, he just said..."this next play is a running play for a touchdown." Right on cue, Shawne Alston scores on an 8 yard run. It is now 17-10 WU who is on pace to have a big scoring day. Key drive of the game coming up now for Bowling Green.
**Interception by Keith Tandy...21 yard run by Garrison. WVU is going to score a lot of points today.
