After topping the 800 mark a couple times in Kansas City this season, Anthony Judd finally broke through in Topeka to highlight last week’s city bowling action.
Judd, a four-time city bowler of the year, strung together games of 245, 279 and 277 for an 801 series a week ago Tuesday night in the Gage Majors League at Gage Center Bowl. The series ranks third on the men’s season honor roll.
One night later, Tom Johnson Jr. moved into fifth place with a 254-258-279 – 791 series in the Gage Gents League at Center.
Chris Leftwich and Luke Rosdahl, meanwhile, tied for ninth at West Ridge Lanes. Leftwich shot 259-270-247 – 776 in the Tuesday Night Mixed League, while Rosdahl rolled 243-267-266 – 776 in the Friday Night Mixer League.
