HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Oct 27, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- The Los Angeles Film School is proud to announce two of their oft-celebrated alumni, Chris Bessounian ('06) and Tianna Langham ('02), were awarded the Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting for 2011 for Guns and Saris.
Tianna Langham has worked on numerous projects, such as Detached and The Wrong Hands. Chris Bessounian has worked for the companies Self-Raising Flower and HBL Media. Together, they pooled their talents for the award-winning short, The Kolaborator, which has screened at over 50 film festivals worldwide, and is also the winner of many prestigious honors, such as the British Academy Award for Excellence and the Best Short Film Award from the American Pavilion Emerging Filmmaker Showcase at the Cannes Film Festival. Another collaborative effort by Langham and Bessounian, entitled Butcher of Bosnia, was also a semi finalist in the 2010 Nicholl Fellowship for its screenplay.
