DJing just got a lot easier for wannabes and professionals alike thanks to the release of Red Bull BPM Play...
Download it to your iPhone or iPod Touch from the Apple App Store and you'll have at your fingertips all the tools required to start a block rockin' party. Just build a playlist and then either share it with your friends or surprise them all by performing a barnstorming mix of energy flash rave music, the choice is yours.
As well as letting you mix tracks within your playlist, Red Bull BPM Play is primed for a few more advanced DJ moves. One of which is the ability to load up self-made jingles and effects to bamboozle the crowd with. For example, you could, if you're so inclined, bleed the creepy half-whispers and devilish guffaws recorded at the Jonestown Massacre into your end-of-the-night set just to freak people out. It's a fun thing to do, we assure you.
There's also a special split mode and pre-listening function which allows you to cue up your next track. You can then fade in beat-matched tracks with the crossfader, or scratch away to your heart's delight. The app also takes advantage of iOS Accelerometer to show a glasses-free 3D effect on screen.
To support this latest launch of Red Bull BPM Play, there's a series of Red Bull BPM Playlist Nights taking place around the world, where music fans will be encouraged to play their own playlists.
