Catonsville

Herald and Baltimore Countian notes that a local family of 15 needs help after a fire ruined their home.

A father, mother and their thirteen children, living near Catonsville, recently lost most of their meager household goods in a fire that damaged their home. They are now forced to sleep in two beds, with insufficient covering.

The First District Public Health Association is seeking donations of at least two mattresses and several blankets for the family .

Donations may be left at the Health Center on Ege's Lane, Catonsville.

It was at first believed that he had been struck by a hit-and-run driver, but an investigation made by Magistrate Fred Roth , acting as coroner, disclosed that death was due to a sudden heart attack .

The Rev. Ignatius Fealy , pastor of St. Agnes Church, Woodlawn, has been sent as delegate to the annual convention of the Military Order of the World War at West Point , New York. He left on Wednesday accompanied by Captain Valentine Doebler , formerly a resident of Eden Terrace.

The first meeting of the fall season to sew for the Children's Aid Society of Baltimore County will be held in St. Timothy's Parish Hall on Wednesday , October 7, from 10:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. As usual there is need for clothing for school children demanding first attention.

These meetings will be held the first Wednesday of the month throughout the winter. All who care to help are invited to attend.

Your last chance, as a new voter to register for the current November election, comes next Tuesday, October 6. Go to your proper precinct and get your name on the polling books. It is not only your prerogative – but your solemn duty.
