SPRINGFIELD, Ill., June 22 (UPI) -- Police in Illinois said a woman was taken to jail after allegedly tearing the underwire out of her bra and using it to scratch her boyfriend's car.
Springfield police said the live-in boyfriend of Tanika McCool, 29, told officers the couple had been arguing at about 7:30 p.m. Sunday when McCool pulled the underwire out of the bra she was wearing and used it to put a 6-inch scratch on his red 2001 Cadillac, The (Springfield) State Journal-Register reported Tuesday.
The man told police he tried to stop McCool but she tore his shirt and hit him repeatedly in the face and chest.
Police said they took McCool, who appeared intoxicated, to the Sangamon County Jail when she refused to cooperate with officers.
