LAKE RIDGE, Va. --
Someone suffered serious burns Monday night in a townhouse fire in Lake Ridge.
It happened about 9 p.m. in the 11700 block of Gascony Place off Springwoods Drive in Lake Ridge.
It’s unclear what started the fire or exactly how the person was burned. But authorities said the victim was flown by helicopter fromWoodbridge High Schoolto Washington Hospital Center’s burn unit in D.C.
The age and gender of the victim was unknown late Monday. Authorities said the blaze was out when firefighters arrived.
Prince William County police and the fire marshal’s office are investigating.
