Monaco is preparing for the wedding of Crown Prince Albert to South African former Olympic swimmer Charlene Wittstock.
Workers are in the final phases of dusting off the old and making sure the new is befitting of a royal occasion as the eyes of the world turn to the glamourous principality in one week's time.
The last time Monaco celebrated a wedding of its ruling prince was in 1956, when Albert's father Prince Rainier married Hollywood actress Grace Kelly.
The palace has taken great care to restore the original table upon which Prince Rainer II signed his marriage certificate with Princess Grace. The gold plate has been repaired and the marble inserts, taken from surfaces in the palace, have been painstakingly replaced.
