Corcoran High School students to participate in staged reading of 'For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide/When the Rainbow is Enuf'

For Colored Girls who have Considered Suicide when the Rainbow is Enuf The Paul Robeson Performing Arts Company presents the choreapeom by Ntozake Shange, “For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide/ When the Rainbow is Enuf” at 5:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Beauchamp Branch Library, 2111 S. Salina St. It is directed by Jackie Warren-Moore. The cast features Kenmara Golden, Kristian Tull, Delores Woody, Shannarra Williams, Jewels Johnson, Katishma Grey and Maya High. Video by Stephen D. A staged reading of “For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide/When the Rainbow Is Enuf” will be presented at 5:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the Beauchamp Branch Library , 2111 S. Salina St., Syracuse. Jackie Warren-Moore directs Corcoran High School students and local actresses in reading the 1977 play by Ntozake Shange .

The production is a collaboration of the Paul Robeson Performing Arts Company and Syracuse University assistant professor Marcelle Haddix .

Admission is free, but donations will be accepted.
