Hawks, Pies a mirror image

Ah, the start of the AFL season, when winning one game means a team is nailed on to win the flag. Funny how no-one is talking up Essendon this week... or not. Rob | Richmond - April 05, 2011, 12:22PM

Lol so the Hawks are being compared to last years Collingwood team based on a win over Melbourne? Didn't see the game personally but... Ummm ok then

Gee I love footy writing hyperbole. Pies beat Port and North (how surprising); Hawks lose to Adelaide and then beat Melb. Now they're both unstoppable!! I love it!

I'm a Hawks supporter and I have to agree with Rob from Richmond. 2008 was great but a long time ago and we haven't delivered again since. One 1/2 of footy against a still developing Demons doesn't change that.

If we win 7-8 on the trot then we might be onto something.

They beat Melbourne.... and were 5 goals down at one stage. After losing to Adelaide. Still, I guess you've been waiting a while for them to have a good win, Will. It's pleasing to see you're not getting ahead of yourself

Hawthorn suffered because of karma. Karma paid them back for bringing the game into disrepute with their disgraceful 11 rushed behinds to beat Geelong. Interesting the other team guilty of abusing the rushed behind rule, Richmond, also suffered badly in 2009.

"after losing away to a high quality Adelaide in round one"...

A high quality Adelaide???!

Please stop the hype! I'm a Hawks supporter, but this is WAY premature. Did anyone watch the first half or the last half against the Crows? In the 2nd quarter Melbourne ran us ragged and we couldn't get our hands on the ball, not sure what happened in the 3rd but it was as much about lack of opposition as Hawthorn 'brilliance'.

for goodness sakes it's round 2!! please stop writing articles like this about us

I think Collingwood is the new Collingwood!
