Rep. Gabrielle Giffords , D-Ariz., boarded a plane bound for Florida on Wednesday to join her husband, commander Mark Kelly, who is preparing to captain the Endeavour shuttle. The congresswoman will join Kelly at a beach celebration on Tuesday and will watch the launch of the shuttle on Friday. Giffords has been recovering from a gunshot wound to the head at a Houston facility.
