ABA to Hold 25th Annual Regulatory Compliance Conference June 12-15 in Washington

WASHINGTON (Source:ABA) — The American Bankers Association will hold its annual Regulatory Compliance Conference on June 12-15 at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington.The ABA compliance conference is nationally recognized for its unmatched scope and scale covering key regulatory issues such as consumer protection, lending compliance, information security, e-compliance, compliance risk management, and anti-money laundering.

The four-day event, now in its 25th year, will feature a keynote address from ABA President and CEO Frank Keating on Monday, June 13. Keating became ABA’s president and CEO on Jan. 1, 2011. He is well known for his public service in senior positions in the Justice Department, Treasury and HUD, in addition to his eight years as governor of Oklahoma.

The first of four general sessions will focus on the impact of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. A senior panel of the nation’s top experts, including former U.S. Comptroller of the Currency John C. Dugan, will discuss the expected impacts and unintended consequences of financial reform.
