French-Congolese singer Rene Tshiakanyi kicks off his Easter tour with performances at the Essenwood Market on Saturday and Ile Maurice French Restaurant, Umhlanga Rocks, on Sunday. On a religious note, there’s the Diakonia Good Friday Service tomorrow at the Durban Exhibition Centre from 5.15am. This year’s theme is the Cross of Transformation, grappling with the issue of transformation in South Africa.

Coming back to good music, Andrew Young’s Sax, Blues and Rock ’n Roll show kicks off at Sunzone. The jazz musician, who plays the clarinet and saxophone, has wowed audiences all over the world and will do the same for 10 shows in Durban, accompanied by his band.

Prime Circle are nominated for six South African Music Awards. They will be rocking Barnyard Theatre tomorrow and Friday.
