Wednesday, 12:15 p.m.—Woburn Police report that the two suspects who broke into Walgreens on Main Street late last night were only in the store three minutes.
According to police, the report of the break-in came in at 11:19 p.m. Police, believing that the suspects were still in the store, entered the building with guns drawn and searched the store quickly.
K-9 units from Wilmington and Billerica were also called to the scene to assist with the search.
According to police, video surveillance shows two men enter the store by force at 11:15 p.m. and then enter the pharmacy at 11:16 p.m. After spending over a minute in the pharmacy, the pair is seen leaving at 11:17 p.m.
At 11:20 p.m., Woburn Police officers are seen entering the building, responding to the report. Police believe only one drug was taken from the pharmacy.
Wednesday, 8:45 a.m.—Woburn Police detectives are investigating an overnight break-in at Walgreens on Main Street this morning.
Shortly after 11 p.m. Tuesday night, Woburn Police responded to a burglary alarm at Walgreens, 175 Main St.
Witnesses in the area told officers that they saw two males break into the store through the front door. Woburn Police set up a perimeter around the store, unsure if the suspects were still inside.
Two K-9 police dog units from Billerica and Wilmington responded to assist Woburn PD with the search. Police with the help of the K-9 units cleared the scene; no suspects were found in the store.
Detectives were requested to respond to begin the investigation into the incident.
