Before PS3 action-adventure Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception hits store this fall, Spike TV will air a special featuring the game. The special will have a contest in which gamers show off their adventuring skills.
They don't say in detail what the contest will entail. It sounds like it'll be a bunch of Uncharted -themed challenges - in other words, kinda like Survivor but without all the tribe and voting nonsense. If the Uncharted games are any indication, you'll be doing a lot of rock climbing and puzzle solving. Or maybe they'll just give the prize to the contestant with the best five o'clock shadow.
The winner will receive an unspecified Uncharted prize package. It includes an "ultimate Sony home theater system valued at over $12,000." They'll probably throw in a copy of Uncharted 3 , too.
If you're interested, download and fill out the documents available at GameTrailers . You'll then e-mail them to spikecasting@spike.com along with a link to a video, picture, or paragraph that explains why you should be chosen for the show.
Completed applications must be received by Monday, September 12th. Applicants must be available the week of October 3rd, as that's when they'll be filming. Filming will take place in Los Angeles so unless you live out there, you'll need to be available to travel too.
The Uncharted 3 TV special will air on Monday, October 31 at 11:30 PM on Spike TV. Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception will hit stores the following day in North America.
