Charles Edward “Tutor” Davis, 76, of Columbia passed away Friday, Aug. 26, 2011.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, at Nilson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29, at the funeral home.
Charles Edward Davis was born Sept. 26, 1934, in Boone County, the son of Ed and Doris Acton Davis. He graduated from Hickman High School in 1952. Tutor was a hard-working man in spite of his disability. He loved working with heavy equipment and did small jobs for neighbors in Pierpont.
Survivors include one brother, Joe E. Davis of Ashland; and three sisters, Georgia Boggs of Fulton, Eddie Jean Burks of Columbia and Lena Grant of Fulton. Nine nieces and nephews, as well as many cousins and friends, also survive.
Memorial contributions may be made to Central Missouri Humane Society, 616 Big Bear Blvd., Columbia, Mo. 65202.
