It's August and football season is getting close. Close enough to make me feel as giddy as a kid who hears the ice cream truck. September 3rd is only a month away and when it gets here the entire nation will know who Kendrum "Boo" Malcolm is.
Hailing from Southwest Dekalb High School in Metro Atlanta, Malcolm was part of the 2010 recruiting class that has been almost forgotten by many Georgia Bulldogs fans due to the popularity of the 2011 "Dream Team" class.
A former 4-star recruit, Malcome has bought into the new strength and conditioning program and nutrition program that has been laid out by Mark Richt and Company. Starting the spring at 226 he has leaned out and added muscle mass bringing him to a chiseled 219.
Malcolm was given the opportunity to redshirt last year which could end up being a very lucky move. With the losses of King and Ealey and the suspension of Thomas for the first game, Malcolm's path to playing time has been paved and he will get an opportunity to show he belongs on the field as much as former 5-star recruits Richard Samuel and Isaiah Crowell.
Malcolm has the size and speed needed to play in the SEC, if he stays healthy and he continues to follow the advice of one of the greatest coaches in SEC history he will surprise many people around the nation come September 3rd, especially some Boise State fans.
If you are still wondering why, Georgia fans will yell "Boo" because it is his nickname, all other players will still receive the normal "Get Em'! Woo Woo Woo!"
