Charlie L. "Chuck" Jenkins, 52, of Canton died on Wednesday (August 10, 2011) at Graham Hospital in Canton. He was born May 31, 1959, to Vicki (Richard) Hughes of Canton and Maurice (Lana) Jenkins of Peoria.
He is survived by one brother, Chris Jenkins of Ariz.; one sister, Connie Kelly of Texas; one step-sister, Robyn (Ross) Walters of Canton; two step-brothers, Richie Hughes of Canton and Brian (Cherra) Hughes of Fairview; one aunt, Barbara (Jerry) Vanderhydt of Pekin and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was also survived by a lifelong friend, Chuck Burroughs and caregiver, Martha Williams.
He was preceded in death by his nephew, Michael Kelly and his grandparents on both sides.
Chuck was a self-employed painter, last working in June.
He was surrounded by friends and relations at the hospital.
There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
