Police responding to the scene were told sometimes between 12:30 a.m. and 1 a.m., someone gained entry into the business by breaking and punching out front door locks, according to a police report.

The unknown suspect or suspects removed $2,000 from a lottery cash register drawer, $2,000 in cash from a bank money bag, 14 cartons of cigarettes and five cartons of cigars.

A camera system is located in the store, but the owner is unsure if it works. An inventory of the items taken is being turned over to police.
