Raymond James is the official investment services and financial planning provider of theTampa Bay Buccaneers. Raymond James Stadium , also known as the "Ray Jay," is actually a multipurpose football stadium which means it is used for other events aside from just the Bucs games. It is home to the NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers as well as the NCAA's South Florida Bulls football team but concerts, high school football and other events are held here. It is also the only NFL stadium I've ever been to, although I am a lifelong football fan.

Here are some things to know about visiting Raymond James Stadium in Tampa:

How you get to Ray-Jay will depend on which direction you are coming from. Since traffic for games is often thick and can be tricky if you're not from the area, it pays to find out how to get there first. If you are coming from the north, take I-75 to I-275 South to Himes Avenue North or North Dale Mabry. If you are coming from the south (from Sarasota or Bradenton where I am from), you take I-75 to I-4 West to I-275 South to Himes Avenue North or North Dale Mabry.

If you're coming from the east (from Orlando area), take I-4 West to I-275 South to Himes Avenue North or North Dale Mabry. And if you're coming from the west, take I-275 to North Dale Mabry. The stadium is approximately one mile north of I-275, between Himes and Dale Mabry.

You do have to pay for parking and how much you pay will depend on where you get your parking passes and for the type of game or event you are going to attend since they do other events at the stadium like high school games, Monster Jam and even concerts. You can check with thewebsiteor ticket sellers for prices on parking at the stadium before you go.

There is adequate seating at Raymond James Stadium and where you sit usually affects ticket prices. Since it is a newly built stadium, it's very nice and all of the seats are pretty good. Their website has a really cool seating feature that allows you to see the view from that seat by clicking on it on theseating map. Even the back rows have decent views of the field but if you have difficulty seeing, you're going to want to be seated closer or bring your binoculars.

You can also use this to help you plan how to find your seat before the big day. It can be pretty overwhelming, especially your first time in a new stadium. Most sections have 27 rows, which are lettered A-DD. A-Z make up the first 23 rows. A is the first row and closest to the field, DD is the 27th and last row. Rows I, O, and Q do not exist. Looking up from the field, seats are numbered from the right to left. This will help you find your seat more easily.

You're going to want to eat while you're at Raymond James and the good news is they have many impressive options for you. This is not your typical hot-dog-from-a-cart kind of food. While you can get all of the traditional stadium food, you can also get a smoked turkey leg or a fabulous steak sandwich for about $8.

Yarr! Me Hearties!

One of my favorite parts of the stadium is the pirate theme that is carried on throughout the entire place. It really makes you feel in the element and it's all a great touch to bring the whole experience together.

Lisa was born and raised in Tampa, Florida and has been a Bucs fan since the team formed, although she now lives deep in football territory of Texas.
