Police investigate thefts from vehicles, mischief and burglary

The following information was provided by the Northampton Township Police Department:

Liquor law violation (Shelbourne Road and Hawthorne Terrace) - During the course of a traffic stop, Ryan Woelk, 18, of Richboro was found to be in possession of a counterfeit driver’s license showing him to be 22 years-old, a violation of the Pennsylvania Crimes Code for which he was cited.

Theft from vehicle (2002 Rock Way at Council Rock High School South) - School district security staff notified police that a student had reported to them that on Monday, Sept. 12 someone had entered her unlocked vehicle that was parked in the student lot and stole the spare key to the vehicle. The vehicle’s center console was damaged during the theft. The stolen key was valued at $25; the cost to repair the damage was not known.

Vandalism (Redwood Drive) - A property owner reported that sometime overnight an unknown actor had broken the red flag off of their mailbox. There was no permanent damage as the flag was able to be replaced.

Theft from vehicle (2002 Rock Way at Council Rock High School South) - School security personnel reported a student had advised them that his unlocked vehicle had been entered while parked in the student lot. Taken from the vehicle was his wallet containing ID and $10.

Criminal mischief (1500 block of East Bristol Road) - The property owner reported that the bark and low branches had been stripped from a sapling on their front lawn.

Theft from vehicle (Tree Bark Lane) – An unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway was entered and a GPS unit that was valued at $150 was stolen.Continued... 1 2 3 See Full Story

Burglary (100 block of Rotterdam Drive North) - The property owner reported returning home to find that someone had forced entry into the home through a ground floor window. Taken from the home were various pieces of jewelry with an undetermined value.

Theft (200 block of Grasshopper Drive) - A $200 iPod was stolen from a home.

Criminal Mischief (Steeplechase Drive) - A vehicle parked in the driveway was damaged by unknown actor(s). Paint was scratched, the trunk dented and it appeared as if someone had tried to pry open the trunk lid. No value was given for the damage.

Theft from vehicle (Mohawk Drive) – Three unlocked vehicles parked in the driveway were entered. Nothing of real value was found to have been taken.

Theft (201 Buck Road at Munz Construction) - Trailers that were parked in the lower rear lot of the business were forcibly entered. A leaf blower and a piece of construction equipment were stolen. The combined value of the items was estimated to be $1,500.

Theft from vehicle (1000 block of Temperance Lane) - The complainant reported that sometime overnight his vehicle had been gone through by unknown actor(s). Taken from the vehicle was a briefcase containing $1,200, a wallet containing ID and credit cards, as well as numerous other documents.

Attempted theft from vehicle (1000 block of Temperance Lane) – An unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway was entered and gone through by unknown person(s). Nothing was found to have been taken.

Theft from vehicle (1100 block of Temperance Lane) – An unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway was entered by unknown actor(s) who then stole $800 worth of jewelry from the glove box.Continued... 1 2 3 See Full Story

Theft (1100 block of Temperance Lane) - A bicycle was stolen from a shed on the property. The bike had an estimated value of $100.

Theft of motor vehicle (1100 block of Temperance Lane) - The homeowner reported the theft of an ATV from an unsecured basement storage area of the home. The value of the vehicle was not known at the time of the report.

Investigators are following up on several leads related to the reported thefts in the Richboro area that occurred overnight.
