Ready for some football? We have it covered....FAU and beyond

Those who get the printed version of the SS, today was the day for the football special section, which featured The Voice prominently.

That means that the long wait is nearly over. Kickoff Saturday at 7 p.m. FAU vs. Florida on national TV.

The game might be over in the first 20 minutes, but the announcers will have plenty to gab about. Can Will Muschamp take Florida back to the a national championship. What about Charlie Weis’s offense? And then the whole saga of Howard Schnellenberger beginning his final season.

Upset in The Swamp? Highly unlikely, but remember App State....

As part of the season kickoff, it’s time to let everyone know what is out there in cyperspace.

You all know me, I’ve covered FAU sports since 2001, when they took the field against Slippery Rock at Joe Robbie/Pro Player/Land Shark/Whatever It is Now Stadium.

My blog, which has been castigate and praised and everything in between, has been around for about four or five years now, and this is entry number 2,565, so I do post frequently. So it is a good idea to stay tuned.

There are of course multiple platforms, as we in the biz say, and multiple ways of finding and ingesting FAU news and news from around the state. We partner with our sister news organization, the Orlando Sentinel, to cover all the major schools in the state.
