Week1 is here and any red-blooded American Football fan is charged. There are some really big games in store for the NFL's first week.
Some division rivalries will waste not time renewing their dislikes for one another.
Rookie QB and Heisman Trophy winner Cam Newton will be in the land of the sun taking on Arizona in his first regular season contest.
The Chicago Bears will be out to prove that last season was no fluke as they host the talented and dangerous Atlanta Falcons.
As for the truly big games on the schedule, here are my picks with scores for these contests.
A battle of the last two Super Bowl Champions will kick things off on September 8th. Two of the best QBs in the game will face off in Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers.
The Packers looked like a machine as they sawed through the preseason. Many are already jumping on the Packer repeat bandwagon.
The Packers have always been tough at home and this talented and healthy team certainly won't be an exception.
Packers will continue their roll from last year and through the this preseason and into Week 1. Packers win convincingly, 35-14.
This rivalry has overtaken the Packers and Bears as the NFL' premier grudge match. Both teams have been quality group for over ten years and their is genuine dislike on both sides.
The Ravens are my preseason pick to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl and they are at home here.
The Steelers have fewer moving parts and have had Ben Roethlisberger for a full training camp and preseason.
Still, the I'm taking the Ravens in a close one. Joe Flacco will be getting an early test to see if he is truly ready to rise to these types of occasions.
The Cowboys have a lot to prove this year and it starts with the QB. Tony Romo will be in the Big Apple and emotions will be running high on the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy.
I expect the Jets defense and running game to prove too much for the Cowboys. Jets win a grind it out contest, 17-6.
Those are vultures you hear circling Jason Garrett and Tony Romo.
