DAVIDSON, N.C. — Dante and Dylan Steffenino captured individual titles to lead Upper Perkiomen to third place at the King of the Mat wrestling tournament Thursday.
Dante Steffenino went 5-0 at 103 pounds, earning first with a 1-0 win over Drew Turner from Parkland, N.C. Dylan Steffenino went 5-0 at 112, taking gold with an 8-5 decision over Jacob Stevens of Soddy Daisy, Tenn.
Wolfgang McStravick (5-2 at 125), Nate Pompei (4-2 at 160) and Dalton Fleming (4-2 at 189) all placed fourth, Kyle Fellman (6-2 at 119) and Cody Ambrose (4-2 at 171) finished fifth while Chris Rementer (5-3 at 140) took sixth.
Pottstown 70, Muhlenberg 45: The Trojans used a big second quarter to separate themselves from the Muhls and come away with a non-league win.
Elijah Jackson had eight of his 18 in the second, and Dawon Matthews had seven of his 23 as Pottstown (4-2) scored 28 points to head into halftime up 37-25. Muhlenberg (3-2) cut the lead to 10 in the third quarter but was unable to get any closer.
Episcopal Academy 59, Pottsgrove 47: With three players hitting double figures, the Churchmen rolled to a non-league victory over the Falcons.
EA took a 42-28 lead into a fourth quarter Pottsgrove took by an 18-17 count. Scoring honors for the locals (3-4) were shared by Prince Jovian Antoine, Marcus Marshall and Bryce Carter, all of whom had eight points.
North Penn 60, Spring-Ford 30: The Rams were unable to rally from an early deficit at the hands of the Knights, falling further off the pace down the stretch in this non-league contest.

Cocalico 62, Daniel Boone 53: The Blazers made an early run at Cocalico, but their non-league hosts answered in the second half to come away with the victory.
Kevin Riccio scored 20 points to head a trio of double-figure scorers for Boone (3-4), which closed a 22-10 first-quarter deficit to 28-25 at the midway point. John Davis and Brandon Bailey chipped in with 16 and 13 points, respectively.
Upper Dublin 50, Methacton 43: The Warriors came up short of the Cardinals in non-league play, despite making runs at them in the second and fourth quarters.
Mike Handley scored 12 points to lead Methacton (4-3), which trailed its hosts by 14-7 and 40-29 counts after the first and third stanzas. The locals got the deficit down to three (22-19) at the half.
Boyertown 32, Central Dauphin 29: Kaitlyn Eisenhard scored 11 points and Kelly Furman added 10 to lead the Bears to a non-league victory.
Brooke Mullen contributed seven points and 11 rebounds for Boyertown (6-1).
William Tennent 50, Perkiomen Valley 44: With a 16-11 edge in third-quarter scoring, the Panthers pulled away from the Vikings on the way to winning this non-league contest.
The loss spoiled a strong outing for PV's Mikki Guiton, who came away with 19 points. Sam Pagel had another 12 for the Vikes, who trailed their guests by a 25-23 count at the half.

Ryan Wier topped all comers in the 200 IM (2:20.35), as did Alex Bauer in the 50 free (22.620 and Dan Wagner in the 100 fly (1:02.50). Wagner also swam legs of Roberts' winning 200 medley and 200 free relays.
Owen J. Roberts 112, Exeter 66: Danielle Davis' two-win showing in individual races keyed the Wildcats as they swam away from the Eagles in a non-league meet.
Davis topped the fields in the 50 free (57.26) and 100 free, leading an OJR unit that also got firsts from Anna Fedoris (200 free, 2:13.50) and Kate McConaghy (500 free, 5:47.96). The 'Cats also won the 200 medley and 200 free relays.

TGCAGP: Brett Kelly scored gold for the Boyertown boys team at Lehigh University, topping the field in the 3,000-meter run.
Kelly's winning time in the event was 9:01.85. David Shoemaker added a third in the mile run (4:39.36), and Boyertown's distance medley foursome of Greg Mellor, Nick Miller, Tom Renninger and Colin Ranieri placed fifth in 11:34.50.
The Methacton boys got a first from Kolin Jeffers in the 60 hurdles, his 8.63 clocking good for the state-championship meet in February.
The Methacton girls continued to pile up medals and qualify athletes for post-season competition at Lehigh University Wednesday, five athletes and a relay team qualifying for the Meet of Champions.
Seline Tan-Torres ran a state-qualifying time in the 80 for the second time this season, placing fourth in 2:24.74. Fifth-place finishes went to Haley Kramer in the 60 hurdles (9.77), Kaitlyn Saal-Ridpath in the 400 (1:02.90), Gabby Beccatini in the long jump (16-7) and Jacqui Schatz in the pole vault (9-0).
The Warriors' 4x200 relay of Lizzy Shadle, Kelly Fields, Saal-Ridpath and Becattini scored another fifth, combining for a time of 1:51.20.
