• Four for Six: A quartet of nationally touring acts is adding some heat to the winter slate of downtown Bloomington's Six Strings. They are: Emma King & The Heartsets, the country quintet crossing the ocean from London (as in England), Jan. 15; The Fabulous Ginn Sisters, the South Texas sibling duo lately touring with Fred Eaglesmith (they opened his Castle Theatre show last month), Jan. 28; Justin Townes Earl, out of the stint in rehab that canceled his previous Six Strings date, Feb. 11; and Jared Ashley, the season four finalist from the "Nashville Star" reality series, Feb. 19. • Two for Five: Yucks and country are on the winter-spring slate of the Caterpillar Performing Arts Center in Washington's Five Points Washington complex.
