A young Toronto man has been charged with fraud after Hamilton police investigated a credit card skimming device being installed at a bank branch ABM.

The 19-year-old was arrested July 7 and is now the subject of investigations in other communities around the Greater Toronto Area. He was already facing charges in connection with similar incidents.

Hamilton police allege the man installed the device June 19 at a Scotiabank branch. At the time, a bank employee happened to use the ABM and noticed the device and a pinhole camera installed over the keyboard. The devices were removed and police were called.

The accused has been charged with identity theft, fraud under $5,000 and possession of instruments for forging credit cards.

Police did not identify the location of the Scotiabank branch.
