ESPN to air 400-plus college games this season

this week and the 24-hour network will include more than 400 regular and postseason games featured across its multiple platforms including ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU as well ESPN3.com.

The network’s coverage kicks off with the Dick’s Sporting Goods Kickoff Week on Sept. 1-5, featuring 32 games in five days concluding with Miami at Maryland on Labor Day.

Regular-season coverage will conclude Sat., Dec. 3 with the Dr. Pepper ACC Championship Game on ESPN as well as Big 12 showdowns with Oklahoma at Oklahoma State and Texas as Baylor, both will be on ABC.

The network will air all five of the BCS games including the Allstate BCS National Championship on Jan. 9, as well as 33 bowl games.

This season, ESPN begins agreements with the ACC and BYU for rights to games including exclusive right to all of the Cougars home football games.
