National Housing Trust (NHT) and National Water Commission (NWC) will meet in the Business House Cricket Board's Reggae Jammin 50-over final at Kensington Park tomorrow, both having reached the final for the first time.

They thus ended the stranglehold on the competition by defending champions Jamaica Broilers and former champions LIME in the past five years.

Last Sunday, NHT advanced to the final following their 84-run victory over Jamaica Broilers at Mico University ground. And two weeks earlier, NWC defeated LIME by 20 runs in the other semi-final at the NWC playing field, Mona.

At Mico, NHT made 195 for nine off their allotted 45 overs. Despite playing without ace run-getter Nkrumah Bonner, who is representing the West Indies 'A' team, middle-order batsman Antwaine Stephenson came good with a top score of 65, former national under-19 player Shacoya Thomas made 56, while Herman Henry chipped in with 17. Fabian Lakeman took 3-27, Robert Turner 2-30 and Aaron Daley Jr 2-50.

Jamaica Broilers replied with 111 all out in 32.5 overs - Orane Walters 31, Peter Caballero 22, Andrew Davis 16, against left-arm spinner Atley Brown 3-13, Frederick Hermitt 2-31, pacer Shawnlee Earle 2-41, Bevon Brown 1-11.

Tomorrow's final at Kensington Park will start at 10 a.m. sharp. NHT, who possess a good all-round team, will look to Thomas, Stephenson, Hermitt, Henry, Earle, skipper Quennue McKinson and former national player Bevon Brown to pave the way for victory. NWC, who are on a roll, will counter with David Morgan, Garwain Johnson, Oneil Wright, Chris Senior, Domain Wilson, Fabian Forbes and Vanroy White.

The Henkel-sponsored Pattex Cup skittles competition was launched in Junction, St Elizabeth, last Sunday with three teams coming out on top.

Scores of skittles enthusiasts journeyed from Kingston to the Junction Entertainment Centre in the town to play the three opening matches on the fixture.

Mister C clipped Olympic Strikers 7-6, Eastern also beat Waltham Strikers 7-6, while pre-season favourites Eagles easily got by Rowe's Strikers.

The competition continues tomorrow with three sets of matches (two each) at three venues.

Defending champions Mystix will be in action at Dragon Skittles Club, Giltress Street in Rollington Town, where home team Dragon will take on Mister C.

Waltham will oppose Starliner in one of two matches at Waltham Strikers Skittles Club, Waltham Park Road.

A notable absentee from the competition is The Dip from Gregory Park. The Dip reached the final of the Supreme Ventures/Mandingo Dip Invitational tournament a fortnight ago as the defending champions, but lost to Starliner in the final.

The Business House Basketball Association's three-on-three competition wall come to an end on Monday at the Stadium Courts with game five in both divisional finals.

In Division I, G4S and last year's Division II champions Jamaica Teachers' Association Cooperative Credit Union are locked at 2-2, while the same is true of Western Sports and National Land Agency in Division II.

JTA Credit Union and National Land Agency both came from behind to level the scores on Monday night, and all four teams have everything to play for in game five after rain forced a cancellation on Wednesday night.

The BHBA awards presentation function is set for Saturday, December 3 at the NHT Clubhouse.

The semi-finals of the Norman Goodison Western Sports/JNBS sponsored Inter-Bank football competition will be played tomorrow at the NWC playing field, Mona, starting at 1 p.m.

Last Sunday, BOJ and NCB played to a 1-1 draw to qualify, while Scotia came from two goals down to beat Pan Caribbean 5-2, thanks to goals from Phillip Thomas, Ajuran Brown, captain Donovan Hibbert, Norwayne Knight and Richard West.

Cuthbert Hyman and Jesse Reynolds scored in the first half to give Pan Caribbean a 2-0 lead at half-time, but they were com-pletely outplayed in the second half. The final will be played at the same venue on Sunday, November 20.

The Manchester Rifle and Pistol Club (MRPC) will host the third staging of its major competition, dubbed the National Street Gun Championship, at its range next Sunday.

The tournament, which takes the format of seven stages reflecting local scenarios which could face the typical firearm holder, should have been hosted earlier in September, but was postponed due to the participation of club president, Orville Henriques, in the International Practical Shooting Championships in Greece. Henriques, who came third overall in the recent Florida State Championships, will be the main highlight but competition should be keen with Sue Ann Henriques and David 'Bull Dog' McMorris, leading the charge.

The one-day championships carries a mandatory registration charge for competitors as well as an admission cost for spectators. The organisers have promised safe and ample parking.

A select Jamaica Domino Association (JDA) team defeated Clarendon-based Giants in an exciting one-off domino contest in May Pen last weekend.

The match was organised by the JDA as part of a drive to revamp the pool of players available to represent the country in tournaments next year. The series will close off in St Ann's Bay and St Mary later this month.

The national team, with non-playing captain Leroy Reid, got off to a robust start, waltzing to a17-point lead. However, Giants gradually got into their groove and rallied back strongly, and against expectations, to lead the contest 103-100 at the half-time break.

A decision was taken to reduce the rest of the contest to a 50 point-matchup. Giants continued their momentum and kept their lead until the national team was forced to make a number of adjustments. The tactical changes paid dividends, as the national team levelled the contest at 131. The lead changed almost minutely, until the Giants team regained the lead at 136 before pulling away to a 143-141 score, when the national team hierarchy initiated a countdown.

The countdown meant the tables were reduced to three pairs each. It was a tactical time-out which sent the Giants team in disarray, as they seemed incapable of selecting their best pairs. On the other hand, the national team seemed steady and assured, and their pairs of Marcia Sanford and Trevor 'Reading Book' Broomfield, Eric 'Eli' Plummer and Richard 'Solgie' Francis, along with Christopher 'Adu' Williston and Trevor 'Fireman' Reid, immediately changed the course of the game to win easily in the end - 150-145.

In other games today, Watson Grove, still celebrating their 2-1 win over Royal Lakes recently, will have to try and contain prolific striker Olanzo Brown of McCook's Pen at the Watson Grove field. Tomorrow, Bodles face off with Flamingo at Bodles while Dunbeholden, who shocked Super League club Meadows 1-0 in the first round, entertain Old Harbour Bay at the Dunbeholden field.
