InsideTennessee staffer offer their thoughts on the marquee matchup in this week's edition of SEC Picks. Chris Price, Danny Parker and Josh Woodward went 8-0 on last week's picks, while Randy Moore checked in at 7-1. Price continues to hold the best season's record at 73-15.
What follows are this week's picks, with each staffer's year-to-date record in parenthesis:
Arkansas at LSU (Friday): LSU's defense will be too much for Mr. Petrino's offensive-minded Hawgs. I am taking the Tigers. LSU 31-30.
Alabama at Auburn: Alabama is too good this year. No Cam Newton to bring War Eagle back to life. Tide rolls 33-17.
Florida State at Florida: I am going to take Florida State in this one. Maybe Florida was looking ahead, but I think there was something to that Furman game. State 41-28.
Georgia at Georgia Tech: Georgia didn't look too hot last week, but I think they can sneak past Tech on their way to Atlanta. Dogs 31-20.
Ole Miss at Miss. State: Wow, this should be interesting. I am going to give it to the home team in the Egg Bowl though. State 24-21.
Clemson at South Carolina: Think Sammy Watkins is the difference maker. Clemson 41-17.
Vanderbilt at Wake Forest: Vandy is still trying to heal from the loss to the Vols. I will take Wake Forest 24-17.
Arkansas at LSU (Friday): The best secondary in the country struts its stuff before heading to the SECCG in Atlanta. LSU, 24-13
Alabama at Auburn: Revenge time for the Tide faithful as they recover from last week's news that Paul "Bear" Bryant is deceased. Alabama, 42-12
Florida State at Florida: One of the uglier games between these two once-proud programs. Florida State, 9-8
Georgia at Georgia Tech: Should be some hitting going on in Atlanta for this one. Georgia, 28-21
Ole Miss at Miss. State: Houston Nutt tries to fire up his Rebels but it's too little, too late. Miss. State 17-10
Clemson at South Carolina: Just not enough offensive firepower without Marcus Lattimore in uniform. Clemson, 23-14
Vanderbilt at Wake Forest: Postgame locker room celebrations by the opposition will be the least of James Franklin's worries after the Demon Deacons get done with his bunch. Wake Forest, 31-19
Tennessee at Kentucky: The streak moves to 27 and the Vols continue to build momentum going forward. Tennessee, 30-14
Arkansas at LSU (Friday): The Hogs stalled against Bama, and I suspect they'll stall against the Tigers, too. LSU, 27-17
Alabama at Auburn: This will be a lot like last year, except Bama won't collapse in the second half. Tide, 27-10
Florida State at Florida: Does Will Muschamp act like a spoiled 5-year-old, or is it just me? FSU, 34-27
Georgia at Georgia Tech: The Dawgs make it 10 straight after their 0-2 start. Mark Richt officially is off the hot seat. Georgia, 28-20
Ole Miss at Miss. State: Rebels would like to win one for the Nutt-head ... but they won't. Bulldogs, 27-17
Clemson at South Carolina: Marcus Lattimore is a game-changer but he can only change games he plays in. Clemson, 24-20
Vanderbilt at Wake Forest: Vandy leads the NCAA ... in blowing potential wins. Not this time. Commodores, 28-24
Tennessee at Kentucky: The Big Blue is so bad it makes the Big Orange look good. Vols, 35-10
Arkansas at LSU (Friday): The problem I see is the Hawgs don't have much defense. LSU 38-13
Alabama at Auburn: Alabama looks to reclaim the state. Tide 34-7
Florida State at Florida: To me this is an evenly matched game, but I go with the SEC. Gators 24-21
Georgia at Georgia Tech: Georgia has a lot to play for. Bulldogs 35-17
Ole Miss at Miss. State: The coaches at Ole Miss have been cleaning out their offices instead of getting ready for the Bulldogs. Miss. State 38-13
Clemson at South Carolina: This is a great matchup, I like the Tigers. Clemson 23-20
Vanderbilt at Wake Forest: The bottom feeders at of the respective conference, I got to go with the Dores. Vanderbilt 9-3
Tennessee at Kentucky: Tennessee is playing for a bowl and Kentucky isn't. That's enough for me. Vols 28-10
