Hugh Naylor Hoover, 59, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Nov. 25, 2011, at his home in Kabletown.

Born May 19, 1952, he was the son of the late Dickerson and Carrie White Hoover.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Hugh was operator of North Rocks Farm LLC. He was a lifelong outdoorsman, with hunting trips to Africa and New Zealand. He was a 1970 graduate of Charles Town Senior High School and a was a member of the American Legion and The Safari Club.

He is survived by his life partner of 12 years, Janet Morris Silveous, who was by his side in death; his son, Steven Helms; one sister, Dianna Gray Bussard and husband, David; three grandchildren, Adam, Alexis and Amber Curry; one niece, Lynn Carroll of Ranson; and one nephew, Jason Gray of Florida; and great-niece and great-nephew, Samantha and Brandon Carroll.

He also leaves behind special people in his life, Chuck and Annie Kienast, Chad Silveous and Michelle Silveous and Coty and Eric LeMaster.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Lori Lynn Hoover Curry.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 28, 2011, at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, U.S. 340 at Halltown Road, Charles Town/Harpers Ferry, with Pastor Mike Withem officiating.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 122 Waverly Court, Martinsburg, WV 25403.
