VICTORIA, TX -- The UTEP women's golf team is tied for seventh place through one round of the Claud Jacobs Intercollegiate on Sunday in Victoria, Texas.
The Miners shot 319 over the first 18 holes. The last two rounds will be completed on Monday.
Kansas leads the 17-team field with 301.
Teresa Nogues is tied for 16th place with a six-over-par 78 to lead UTEP. Shang-Fan Huang is tied for 21st place (79), Rosana Gomez and Liz Sobczak are tied for 35th place (81) and Emma Edin is tied for 65th place (85).
