New York Knicks leading scorer Amar'e Stoudemire avoided a one-game suspension when his 16th technical foul of the season was rescinded, the NBA told Reuters on Friday.
Stoudemire and Dallas centre Brendan Haywood were called for offsetting technicals when they became entangled during the second quarter of the Mavericks 127-109 win on Thursday.
Haywood's technical was also rescinded.
Players face an automatic one-game ban after collecting 16 technical fouls and hit with another one-game suspension for every every two technicals called thereafter.
