Bilodeau wins in Are

Alexandre Bilodeau stormed to his second victory in Are, Sweden, to ensure the FIS Freestyle Skiing World Cup men’s moguls will go right down to the wire.

The 23-year-old again pipped Guilbaut Colas to the win to further chip away at the Canadian’s overall lead heading into the final round in Norway on March 20.

Colas still sits top of the standings on 741 points but Bilodeau is now just 62 points behind, with fellow Canadian Mikael Kingsbury still in the mix in third on 645 points, despite finishing fourth in Sweden after losing out to American Patrick Deneen in the consolation round.

In the women’s moguls event, Hannah Kearney celebrated wrapping up the World Cup title with victory 24 hours later.

The American beat Canadian Justine Dufour-Lapointe in the final to take the gold, while Jennifer Heil stays in second overall despite finishing third in Sweden.
