This weekend begins the real push of holiday stage and music offerings. More options are coming Friday in Go!, but check this out before print:

"A Christmas Carol," produced by Nebraska Theatre Caravan, will be staged at 8 p.m. Friday at the Lycian Centre for the Performing Arts.

The Broadway-style production has been on tour for more than 30 years and includes traditional carols, including "God Rest Ye' Merry Gentlemen" and "Wassail, Wassail."

Tickets are $35-$39, $25-$29.25 for ages 18 and younger. They can be purchased at the Lycian box office or by calling 469-2287. The Lycian is at 1351 Kings Highway, Sugar Loaf. Visit www.lyciancentre.com .
