Kristin Walker and Adam Jones were married Aug. 27, 2011, at Funks Grove in McLean, Ill. The bride's father, Pastor Kurt Walker, officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Kurt and Marla Walker of Armington, Ill. She graduated from Goshen College in Goshen, Ind., in 2006 with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. She works as an elementary special-education teacher for Chicago Public Schools.
The groom is the son of Kris and Alan Curriston of Eagle Point and Vernie and Maggie Jones of Burbank, Calif. He is a 2008 graduate of Portland State University with a bachelor's degree in geology. He works as a geologist for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Chicago.
Persons of honor were the bride's friend, Heidi Birkey of Hopedale, Ill., and the groom's brother, Nick Jones of Portland.
Ushers were the groom's brothers, Matthew Walker of Hood River, Jacob Walker of Minier, Ill., and David Walker of Milwaukee, Wis.
A reception was hosted by the ushers after the wedding ceremony at Crestwicke Country Club.
The newlyweds are planning a trip to Mexico in January and are living in Chicago.
