Wizards' Howard returns from injury; Lewis out

CLEVELAND (AP) — Wizards forward Josh Howard is active for Washington's game against Cleveland after being out since Jan. 5 with a sore left knee.

Howard has played only eight games this season because of the injury. He's averaging 7.9 points and 3.3 rebounds. Coach Flip Saunders said he expects Howard to play about 15 minutes.

Rashard Lewis is out for the second straight game due to a sore right knee. He didn't play in Saturday night's 118-94 loss to San Antonio.

Saunders said forward Al Thornton, who missed the the last two games with a dislocated right middle finger, is on the active list for the game against Cleveland.

Washington has an 0-25 road record and is looking for its first win away from home against the Cavaliers, who snapped an NBA-record 26-game losing streak by beating the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday night.
