Michael and Holly's 'PDA' makes 'The Office' as awkward as middle school romances

Ah, Valentine's Day. Everyone can identify with some of the major components of Cupid's holiday: love and chocolate and awkward employees staring at their boss and HR rep making out in the office – at least if you work at Dunder-Mifflin.

The only office event that comes close to the outward tension of Michael and Holly' s PDA is when Andy was clueless to Angela and Dwight 's affair (Moraccan Christmas, Season 5). After several uncomfortable scenes of Michael/Holly affections, Gabe holds a meeting to enforce the company's PDA policy. Michael and Holly seem surprised that the office is uncomfortable by their actions, and Gabe points out Pam and Jim as the "golden couple" of the office:

After this is pointed out, Dwight runs down a list of people who've had intercourse in the office. Jim and Pam are pretty much the only couple who don't make the list, which leads to their sub-plot of finding a place in the office to change the matter. After a few false leads (the secret sleeping spot in the warehouse, Ryan 's office between the bathrooms), they stumble out of some unknown closet, denying to the documentary camera that anything happened.

While Gabe conducts the meeting, Erin asks Andy to join her for the scavenger hunt Gabe made for her. This leads to a few almost-romantic moments between Andy and
