Thumbs Up Thumbs Down

The Ramblers started 7-0, the best start since their championship season in 1963. Since then, Loyola has been just 4-8. Their shooting has been as cold as the Chicago winter. They're only 9-8 when not playing pitiful Texas Pan-American.

Kid K will be back in Cubbie blue this year. He turned down the Yankees to return to the north side where he loves to play and where the fans have loved him since the 20-strikeout game in ‘98. I know Ron Santo is looking down and smiling.

A split in that Wisconsin road trip would have been nice. Instead, the women dropped both games to our neighbors to the north by double digits. Hopefully the Bears can do better in their border battle than the Ramblers did.

After being called out last week by famed sports columnist Rick Reily , Jay went out and led the Bears over the Seahawks with four total touchdowns. Beat the Pack on Sunday, Jay, and you have a shot at being mayor of Chicago.
