Gooden's charity game set for Sunday at Cow Palace

Drew Gooden and Ricky Rubio stopped by the Comcast SportsNet studios to promote the Drew Gooden Make a Wish Charity Game.

The NBA might not be open for official business, but plenty of players will be competing in Drew Gooden’s Make-A-Wish charity game Sunday night at the Cow Palace.

Gooden, who played at El Cerrito High School and now plays for the Milwaukee Bucks, has commitments from almost 20 players for tonight’s game, which begins at 6 p.m.

Scheduled to play are the following players: Gooden, Amare Stoudemire, Eric Gordon, Dorell Wright, DeMar DeRozan, Al Harrington, Anderson Varejao, Keith Bogans, Nick Collison, Joakim Noah, Leon Powe, Marquis Daniels, Ricky Rubio, Jason Terry, Jordan Hamilton, Arron Afflalo, DeShawn Stevenson, Shawn Marion and James Harden.

The game is the second charity game that’s taken place in the Bay Area. Earlier this month, former Warriors played a game against current Warriors at the San Jose State Events Center.
