UCLA Series History: The Bruins lead the all-time series with WSU 43-6. UCLA has won the last 20 games in the series. The Cougars' last win was Jan. 6, 2001, a 74-52 victory in Pullman.
Home Sweet Home: This weekend's games vs. USC and UCLA mark only the fourth and fifth home games for the Cougars this season. During its 12-game non-conference schedule, WSU played only three games at Beasley Coliseum (Nebraska, Nevada, and South Dakota State).
Strength of Schedule: According to the Jeff Sagarin/CBN Women's College Basketball Ratings, WSU has played the 13th toughest schedule in the nation. As of Dec. 28, the combined record of the Cougars' 11 non-conference opponents (they played Gonzaga twice) is 86-50 (.632). Only two of the Cougars' non-conference opponents (Long Beach State, 2-11; South Dakota State, 4-8) have a losing record.
Ranked Opponents: UCLA will mark the third ranked opponent WSU takes on this season. The Cougars hosted No. 21 Nebraska, Nov. 22 and played No. 14 North Carolina at the Rainbow Wahine Showdown in Honolulu, Nov. 26. When WSU takes on No. 8 UCLA, Sunday it will attempt to capture its first win over a ranked opponent since, Feb. 10, 2001, when the Cougars defeated No. 22/19 Arizona, 93-86, in Pullman.
