THREE TEAMS WITH 10 WINS - Boise State, Hawai'i and Nevada all won at least 10 games this year.  It was the first time the WAC had three teams with 10 or more wins since 1994 when BYU, Colorado State and Utah all finished the season with 10 victories each.

FINAL RANKINGS - Boise State finished the season ranked 9th by AP and 7th in the USA Today coaches' poll.  Nevada was 11th and 13th, respectively, it's highest finish ever.  Hawai'i received votes in both polls.  It was the best average final ranking of multiple teams in the WAC since 1983 when BYU was 7th and Air Force 13th.  Prior to the bowl games, the WAC had three teams ranked in the top 25 for the first time since Nov. 30, 1997 when the coaches' poll had Colorado State 18th, Air Force 21st and New Mexico 25th.    The Broncos have been ranked in the top 25 for 45 consecutive weeks, the third longest active streak in the nation behind only Ohio State and Alabama.  At least one team from the WAC has been in the polls every week since Sept. 17, 2006 (77 consecutive polls).

BOWL CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES - Since 1997, the WAC has been an official part of the Bowl Championship Series.  The WAC's champion will receive an automatic berth in one of the five BCS bowl games if ranked in the top 12 of the BCS Standings (and is the highest ranked team from a conference without an automatic bid) or if ranked in the top 16 of the BCS Standings and its ranking is higher than that of a champion of a conference that has an annual automatic berth in one of the BCS bowls. The BCS Standings are determined by a formula involving polls and computer rankings. Next year's National Championship Game will be played in New Orleans, La., on Jan. 9, 2012.
