ELMHURST, Ill.--North Dakota State forward Abby Plucker was named Summit League Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her performance during the week of Jan. 25-31.
Plucker, a 5-foot-11 junior from Parker, S.D., earns her second Player of the Week award in three weeks after leading North Dakota State to a pair of league wins.
The junior notched two double-doubles last week with 19 points and a career-high 17 rebounds vs. UMKC and followed that up with 23 points and 14 rebounds against Southern Utah. In her 74 minutes of action, Plucker committed zero turnovers.
Plucker has led the Bison in rebounding in 19-of-21 games and has recorded four double-doubles over her last eight games.
For the week, the forward averaged 21 points, 15.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, one steal and one block per contest. From the field, Plucker was 17-of-28 for 61 percent, shot 44 percent (4-of-9) from downtown and was 80 percent (4-of-5) from the free throw line.
