Brrrr! I woke up in the middle of the night due to the high winds shaking my Dallas hotel window. Then, I woke up to a winter wonderland in Big "D".
The icy conditions forced the closure of DFW airport and the surrounding schools were also forced to shut down. But as the saying goes, the show must go on because it was media day at Cowboys Stadium.
The streets were covered in ice so we decided to leave our rental car in the parking lot at $20 a day (sorry boss) and take the media bus. It's just not safe to drive or work! It's the coldest working conditions I've ever had to deal with and I wore like 4 layers of clothing!
Cowboys Stadium is larger than life and luckily it has a roof that was closed. Media day is a total circus with more than 5,000 media members asking the same question after question.
There was another Ross, as in 'Ross the Intern', all the pretty people from the entertainment industry and of course, Ines Sainz, from TV Azteca, who created a stir with her inappropriate conduct at the Jets facility. Sainz raised eyebrows once again at media day with her seductive clothing and we spoke to her about that. She claimed that her outfits are part of her "show". I feel for the female sports journalists, like the Pam Oliver's and the Suzy Kolber's of the world, who have earned their stripes through hard work and have paid their dues. It seems like Sainz set them back ten years.
A lot of hair raising questions to Pittsburgh's Troy Polamalu, who's curly locks are insured for $1M, and Green Bay's Clay Matthews, as both of them have shampoo deals. Pittsburgh's Brett Keisel takes the cake because he has the wildest beard I've ever seen.
Big Ben was hounded about his past after being accused of sexually assaulting a 20-year-old college student in Georgia.
Aaron Rogers has made people in Green Bay forget about Brett Favre but can he win the big one? The Del Mar offseason resident seems to be taking everything in stride and he is one cool cat.
Temperatures will be BELOW freezing all week long but it's supposed to warm up on Friday - reaching a high of 40 degrees!
Let me know if you have any ideas to keep warm.
