Turnaround Management Association of Nevada Elects New Officers

LAS VEGAS , Nov. 17, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Nevada Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association has elected David W. Grimes as its president and Pamela Joy Ring as vice president. William J. Stieren was re-elected chapter treasurer.

A management and financial consultant, Grimes has been a member of TMA Nevada for several years. He was CFO of Gaming Partners International Corporation, a gaming equipment supplier, and served as vice-president of Artemis International, Inc., a natural color distributor. Grimes also was CFO and later, president and CEO of WaterFurnace Renewable Energy, Inc., a manufacturer of residential and commercial geothermal heating and cooling systems. He earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and bachelor's and master's degrees in accounting from the University of Illinois .

Ring is chief marketing officer of Bannerview.com where she focuses on positioning the company as a national resource for providing the best website development, management and promotional products and services to small and mid-sized businesses. Ring has over 30 years of retail and marketing experience. She co-founded the publicly traded, national specialty retailer, Gallery of History, Inc., where she was EVP and acting COO for 22 years. A past president of TMA Nevada, Ring earned an MBA from New York University and bachelor's degree in economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania .

Stieren, a Certified Business Intermediary and seasoned CPA, has more than 30 years' experience advising businesses on tax, financing, enhancing profitability and long-term financial planning.  After working for a large public company and the federal government, Stieren became a tax specialist and later, partner with McGladrey Pullen, a national CPA firm.  He pioneered the concept of issuing preferred  partnership interests to secure financial and tax benefits for taxpayers, a practice that has become an industry standard.  Stieren earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois , is a professional speaker, and has taught college courses.

The TMA Nevada Chapter is part of the Chicago -based Turnaround Management Association, turnaround.org, the only international non-profit association dedicated to the corporate renewal industry.
