The Big Sky All-Stars of Billings won the state Juniors (13-14) Little League championship on Saturday with a 14-4 win over Butte Northwest/Mile High at Urbaska Field.
With the win, Big Sky advances to the Little League Western Regional Aug. 2-9 in Irvine, Calif.
Big Sky team members are: Ed Baker, Hunter Caton, Duncan Chambers, Kyle Eaton, Riley Edwards, Harrison Howe, Calvin Leuthold, Timothy Lyle, Bryan Mitchell, Nolan Timmons, Richard Wade, Will Werner and Jack Wilgus.
The head coach is Scott Mitchell. Assistant coaches are Dillon Mitchell and Jerry Schmaing.
Team members are currently working to raise $20,000 to fund their trip to California. Big Sky Little League is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. Donations can be made payable to Big Sky Little League, Juniors All-Stars, PO Box 80743, Billings, MT 59108.
