"You're in this business long enough, you're around guys – you become friends with them," Fisher said. "He's going to try to beat me. I'm going to try to beat him. But it has nothing to do with respecting him and what he does and how he does things."
The night the Florida news broke, Fisher said he called Muschamp. It was "a good conversation," Fisher said, in which Fisher offered his congratulations and Muschamp offered his appreciation.
It was the first conversation of their new relationship. Because in an instant the old one had changed.
