Monahan on

TVGuide has reported that Monahan will be voicing “a lion choo-choo conductor with mad storytelling skills in Sprout’s new animated series Drive Dan’s Story Train .” According to the singer, the show approached him about it because “they wanted someone that had something to do with trains.” In case you don’t know how the show works, Pat Monahan has set up the formula to each episode: “There’s a problem at the beginning of the show, and then we read a story related to the problem. There’s always a happy ending, which is perfect.” It sounds like a cute show for kids, and since Monahan loves children, he had fun doing the show.

TVGuide also asked Monahan his opinion on Darren Criss and the Warblers’ performance on Glee of “Hey, Soul Sister.”  He said he “loved it” and “thought they did an amazing job.” That’s certainly true, though it didn’t top Criss’ rendition of Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream.” That single has become so well known even contestants on NBC’s The Sing-Off gave it a go.

Monahan also reported that fans can tune in to Dick Clark’s New Year’s Eve celebration to see Train. Each year there are a few shows to choose from to count down to midnight and keep celebrating afterwards. Will you be watching Train on Dick Clark’s this year?
