EVAN TAYLOR . Max Reinhart introduces us to a cancer-stricken 19-year-old from Mentor who's  taking part in a Cleveland event today to raise money for cancer research.

RICHMOND HEIGHTS COUNCIL . Carl K. Harmon and Russell L. Johnson want to be Ward 2 council person while Ward 4 also has two candidates — Mark E. Alexander and Nneka Slade Jackson. Running unopposed are Ward 1 Marcia Stakey Morgan and Ward 3 Eloise Henry.Caitlin Fertalintroduces the candidates

WILLOWICK CITY COUNCIL . In Ward 1 voters will pick two among Andrew J. Allan, Tricia Booher, Richard J. Regovich, John R. Ross and Michael Vanni. Ward 2 voters will pick two among Carol Furman, Patrick A. Jesberger, Daniel P. Salesky, Ann Turk and Thomas H. Wells. And Ward 3 voters will take two from John E. Foxx, Charlie Malta, and Robert J. Patton. Mayor Richard J. Bonde is unopposed as is Judy Moran for council at large.Brandon Bakerintroduces the candidates.

MENTOR FF CONTRACT .  Mentor administration meeting with firefighters today. Can they head off arbitration?
