The Chicago White Sox management is relying on their three best players and expecting a bounce-back effort from them in the next Major League Baseball season.

Hitter Adam Dunn, centre-fielder Alex Rios and starting pitcher Jake Peavy are the three main players the White Sox management is relying on and expecting bigger individual efforts from them. These three players also require a bigger push to overcome their team’s poor last season record of 79-83.

Though, the White Sox played well in the regular season but overall they remained behind when it comes to the general performance of any team in the season. They lacked in every department and could not do well in the competition. No player from the White Sox looked ready to take the responsibility and compete with bigger heart except Dunn, Rios and Peavy. These three were the only life-line for their team when they fought in the regular season against many giants of baseball.

Adam Dunn, who played relatively good in 2011 but he still owes another consistent performance in the next season. His stats have also grown and now he holds a bigger challenge in the upcoming season to improve his individual .159 hitting average.

Alex Rios has a .227 average with total of 13 home-runs and 44 RBIs also played an imperative role in the White Sox several wins in the regular season. The last player in the White Sox roster who showed some consistent performance was Jack Peavy. He finished the season with a 4.92 ERA along with 7-7 (win-loss), 95 strike-outs and 1.26 WHIP average. His performance was also acknowledged by many baseball experts and also suggested him to take more rest before coming out for the next season as he was seriously injured during the regular season.

White Sox assistant general manager Rick Hahn is also taking much interest and trying hard to give some confidence to all the players including these three who probably have real talent to overcome their team’s last year’s performance. Hahn also knows that the White Sox suffered a total of 83 defeats and now it is high time to re-evaluate the whole season and plan some new strategies according to that evaluation.
