On June 17, 1951, Joe and Judy (Ironmonger) Smith were wed in Kokomo. The couple celebrated 60 years of marriage with immediate family June 19.
On June 17, 1951, Joe and Judy (Ironmonger) Smith were wed in Kokomo. The couple celebrated 60 years of marriage with immediate family June 19 at the couple's home of 56 years.
Joe is a retiree of Rogers Group of Bloomington as an equipment operator. He enjoys working on his farm and sitting on the front porch visiting with friends and family.
Judy retired from Indiana University and is still working part-time at Eastern Greene Public Library. In her spare time she reads and quilts.
They have four children: Little Joe, deceased; Jeri married to Donnie Whaley, Springville; Jayne married to Raymond Scott, Bloomfield; and Joni Kay, deceased. Four grandchildren: Jerrod Whaley, Bloomington; Heath Whaley, Springville; Alysia married to Josh McIntosh, Bloomfield; and Austin Scott, Bloomfield. One great grandchild: Nicholas Whaley, Springville.
